yea, I just wanted to play with the windows 8, I didn't mention that this laptop isn't in good condition. It has to be plugged into a monitor (TV) because I took the lcd off of it and put it on my newer laptop (which was stepped on)
At the time I got it from a friend because it had a motherboard defect (this friend is not patient at all and bought a new laptop immediately) that makes you have to try it several time to make it turn on (when you turn it on, the lights light up, nothing on the screen, it is completely unresponsive, and after about 30 sec it turns off and tries again, when it does this is won't turn on by itself, you have to hold down power button and retry) it doesn't appear to be getting worse, I think I have it timed right now, you have to turn it on once, let it try, hold down power button, let it sit for about 5 sec, but not too long, and turn it back on and it almost always comes on the second time.
Another thing that I don't understand (I may have damaged it when opening) is, when on the VGA out the screen randomly turns highlighter blue, you can still see everything, but it is like when you half-way unplug the vga connector, I have messed with the connector, but it is never loose, and after a while (can be 2 sec to 5 min) it will go back to normal.
The fan seems to run more than it needs too also, but it may have always done this. (I have blown all the dust out)
if you can tell I was about to post a new thread on this...
