Hey,
I'm Platinum, and I'll be helping you with your malware issues today!

Welcome to the ComputerForum.com. Here at ComputerForum.com, I not only work to fix your computers, but I also want to educate you.
So, if you have any questions, even if they don't pertain to the current issue, please, just ask! I'd be more than happy to help you with your questions.

While we are working together, please
  • Reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • If you are unsure of what to do, please stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Be patient. HijackThis logs take some time to research, as does the preparation of a fix.
Please note the following:
  • I will be working on your Malware issues: This may or may not, solve other issues you may have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. (Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.)
  • The process may take considerable time, and many posts.

C:\PROGRA~1\Altnet\DOWNLO~1\asm.exe

O4 - Global Startup: Digital Line Detect.lnk = ?
O18 - Filter: text/html - (no CLSID) - (no file)

First I'd like to make you aware that you are running Kazaa, which is known to be bundled with malware. I would strongly suggest uninstalling that.
For a list of good and bad p2p applications, please visit here.

To uninstall Kazaa, please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs Search through the list, and remove Kazaa. When it is uninstalled, do not exit the Add\Remove Programs list.

Now, please open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del at the same time. Look for asm.exe and end that process.
In the Add\Remove programs list, search for Altnet, if you cannot find it that is fine.

If you didn't find Altnet in the list, we will need to manually delete this.
Please navigate to Windows Explorer (open it up via Start>All Programs>Accessories) and locate + delete the following files or folders listed:

C:\Program Files\Altnet <<--This is a folder

*Please note anything you were not able to find or delete!

Now, please start HijackThis and do a scan only. Place a check next to the following entries:
O4 - Global Startup: Digital Line Detect.lnk = ?
O18 - Filter: text/html - (no CLSID) - (no file)

When you have finished, please scan with HijackThis and post an updated log.
