I managed to successfully add a second 80GB hard drive to my Dell Dimension
8200, WinXP Home, P-4.
The two drives are connected on the same IDE cable.
The new “F: Drive” is in the secondary, cable selected position one, a single big partition formatted NTFS, WinXP is installed, and all seems to be fine.
On start-up the computer boots to the original C: Drive, in its primary, end-of-cable position zero.
I want to use the new F: Drive as an independent drive, with its own O.S. (winxp) and programs.
My dumb question: what now is the best /easiest way to access the new drive, boot to it on start-up when I want to use it for either back-ups or clean video editing?
Thanks,
Richard
