Any Interest for a battlefield 3 server?

Just suggesting you to avoid a 16 player server, get a 64 player one just because of Armored Kill release in September.

Thats £48 a month, for a 13 year old kid thats kinda expensive, i will see what i can pull together by doing jobs and stuff, but apparently tank vs tank is max 16 player, but yeh, good point.

I think the tank vs. tank is max 16 only in the Tank Superiority mode, rest it is obviously 64, because Bandar Desert is the biggest map you'll ever see.

Even with a clan of more people that play together than here, I struggled to have my BF3 server populated when I had it, hence not having it any more. Honestly the people here play together rarely, which would make the problem worse.
You will also not need 64, Ankur, you assume that you will have every map with every game mode all the time, which won't happen. Most servers are Conquest only or Rush only or Karkand maps only. It is the same with every game, take CoD for instance, you have S&D servers, HC TDM servers, 24/7 map servers, you don't see too many mixed servers any more, and even fewer with mixed hard/softcore, and the same is true here. You look through the map list, you have 16 and 32 slot servers which are regularly populated.
If you open a server and make it public that also raises another problem. If (IF) it does get populated regularly, you then have all complaints leading back here. If you say it is a CF.com server, people come to CF, people rage. We tried a few years back to get a separate clan set up to prevent that, but of course that will then take traffic away from the forums, as posts discussing us playing together would then go off to another site, not here at CF.
Finally, if it gets populated, you can't take donations here at CF, so would be funding it yourself, unless you paid out again for webhosting. To get it populated, you need to slowly build up regulars, meaning consistently having just you, or you and a few others in so people will join. You will have it for a good couple of months before anyone starts to use it often, so you have to make sure that you can afford it today and also in the future.
I have been running my own game servers for over two years now and I promise you, it isn't easy to keep them running or to keep them well admined.

I was going to go for multiplay game servers, i am going for 16 players, enough for interesting clan battles kind of, and only competitive people go on 16 players from what i know, and i would fund it myself and am happy to do so.
So yeh, i probs will get 16 players, as funding that low price at about £12 a month is not bad.

NO!!!
Do not, I cannot stress enough DO NOT get a server from Multiplay ever.
Their support is the worst in the industry, they regularly put too many servers on a single rack causing severe lag, if you want any sort of mod, expect weeks, or in our case months, for it to happen.
This is not just a one off experience with them either. I have had TS, CoD4, Minecraft, TF servers with them, all of them had issues. This is not just me either.

Sums up my experience with them when it comes to my CoD4 server, and as you can see replies from others match exactly the problems I had (Posts from DS members and CK). I should point out that even with the replies from the member of staff at Multiplay, thing sstill didn't get sorted, to the point that I ordered 2 more servers so I didn't have to use the Multiplay ones.
You don't get complete access to your server, as in you don't have FTP which is a deal breaker. Being able to manipulate every single file, not just the ones they say, and being able to do it in an FTP client rather than having to use TCAdmin, or worse still the piece of crap clanforge is much quicker, easier and more powerful

Is far better for hosting. We had had servers with them for the last 3 years and everything from performance to support is stellar.
If you have already ordered the server, I would strongly suggest opening a ticket with billing and cancelling, you can do so within the first 5 days (which is also a lot shorter than any other company allows)

Ok, sorry, i have not ordered, as i was awaiting your response. And i need to get the money on my paypal account, MOHW and Guildwars 2 have sent my money down to zero, and about 30 other games.
I will buy the server from gaming deluxe soon. Then will post the link here. I have used multiplay in the past for a minecraft server, and i do agree now i think about it, they are crap.

P.S. I will put on ggc stream, as pbbans is admin-based if you piss one off, your banned. As i know from experience, so if you don't want ggc stream, just say.
