Assassins Creed II DRM

Hi,

I want to buy AC2 for my PC, but I have heard all the stories regarding the bad DRM system requiring a constant internet connection. However, I have read that now the DRM system has been changed, and it only requires an online login at the start of the game.

Is this true? Because I can live with that.

Also, there seems to be 2 versions of the game... a DVD version & a CD version... whats the difference?

I don't know, they may have changed. Too little too late for me, I hate that kind of DRM.

Yes they did change it.

I got the game for my brother and he doesn't have to connect each time.

Thanks, have bought it now and have had no problems with DRM. It runs from the Ubisoft game launcher, and I dont even think that needs an internet connection now.

If I were you I'd just buy it through Steam anyway.
