Ati Radeon X1900 Crossfire Edition

lol ;) have fun it's a nice card but if getting for your bulit displayed in your sig, then i would recomend 2gb ram

Alimoose, do you even know what hardware you have exactly? Because according to your sig, it seems like you just copied and pasted it from dxdiag or something similar.

Now that you mention is omega..

How do you have x300/x550? And is your CPU OCed to 2.2ghz or is it stock clocked at that speed?

X1900's are big. They can stop you putting in PCI cards, and can stop you installing aftermarket Northbridge coolers. It depends on your motherboard layout.

I can't go SLI at all, as I have a cooler on my Northbridge.

Yes i know my comp and the hardware within it, its (am2) amd athlon 4200+ x2 stock at 2.2 ghz, 2x 512 mb ram 240 pin ddr2 800 pc2 6400 corsair xms (timed at 5-5-5-5-12), western digital 250 gb, Radeon x300 (it says its x300/550 on dxdiag but its x300), coolmax 500 watt, and so on, i built my comp from the ground up, for 550 dollars. I was just lazy to do my sig, so i copied and pasted.

and im getting the x1900 crossfire for free, i was just wondering if it would work without the regular x1900, and it was already answered

why don't you change the cooler :)

I have a DFI SLI-DR. See where the northbridge is located?

I overclock heavily, so I have an aftermarket chipset cooler, the HR SLI-05. The stock cooler simply wasn't cutting it. It is impossible to have 2 7900gt's, nevermind 2 LONGER cards in crossfire. I have the cooling fins directly above the pci-e slot furthest away from CPU.

These types of problems occur quite often.
