BAttle Feild 2 Start Issues..Need some help..

Alright, so i installed battle feild on a rig with the following specs:

c2d E6300
1 gig of ram
7900gs
80 gig HD

And when i ran it after i installed it it ran fine. Then during one of the maps that were loading it frioze and i had to reboot. Now when i open it, the Battle feild 2 window oopens, then the screen flickers and fgoes back to my dkestop. Any suggestions?

When i installed 2142 this does happen but i have another question:

When i try and log into 2142 it says that my CD key is already in use..? How can my CD key be in used if the account is registered to it and i bought the game.. Is ther any way that i can call EA or something and figure this out?

ok thanks, i fixed it by re-installing the game and the patches. Now i just have to figure out why in 2142 it says that my CD key is aready in use when i registed the account that i i log in with to the CD key.

Call EA........they have been known to make stupid mistakes like that. This happened to someone else on the forum, also.
 
Far Cry does the same cd-key thing with me when I connect to the multiplayer, quit the game, start up the game like 2 minutes later, and re-connect to the server. It will give me the cd-key in use error. I had to wait a couple minutes and it would work again..

If it occurs when you start up the computer and go to play 2142, then your cd-key has been stolen by someone.
 
How did your's get stolen?I don't mean to put your thread in jeopardy, but do the game manufacturers use like 8 different keys? I know Windows XP does, my friend had 6 of 8 codes, so he just had to obtain any copy of XP and enter until he hit one right. He "had" 6 codes until his Dad saw them and got p'd about it.

did you say you managed to get on Far cry multiplayer? wow it never worked for me it would just freeze up and never ever any servers showed up.

there was also alot of people who had the same problem but i never did find a solution to the problem:cool:

Omg yeah I remember I had a problem with it getting stuck on ubi.com as well! But I posted on the forums OR I looked at their FAQs and then my problem was fixed. I have long since uninstalled so I can't remember what the solution was. Maybe I'll check out the Ubi forums once I finish dow- once I go buy the game... :)

And no, they don't use 8 keys.. And I find your story hard to believe. In BF2, when it was new, the cd key was openly displayed in the registry and people could get your key just from you joining their server. So maybe BF2142 has the same problem.
