Battlefield 2

Should play fine....plays fine on my mates pc and he has a sempy 2800+ and a Geforce 6200.

I also tryed the demo out and it played great on mine too so yours should play it.

BF2 is better than 2142 imo
 
BF2 is about now-ish,. 2142 is 'the future' I must say.. i like BF2 better too tbh. (they are both based on the same engine btw)

(and, i played BF2 maxed out on my old pc, a 3000+ venice overclocked to 2.7GHz, and a 6800GT with 1Gb of RAM.
I even could play the game on my 1400+ Palomino with 1Gb pc100 SDRAM and a fx5200. so, i think it will run pretty good actually.
 
Yeah, I knew that it was the same engine, I don't really like the idea of the future... I'd prefer to play something that could be real!

Do you think I could max it out on my current spec (with new MOBO) and an E6300? Thanks!
 
BF2 and BF2142 are pretty much exactly the same, except BF2142 takes place in the future (2142), while BF2 is basically the war thats going on in the present time.

Im thinking about getting BF2.....when i played the demo i set the graphics to medium and it played fine:confused:
 
Alright guys,

Im gettin fed up of with warrock because they want to charge you for everything like maps + monthly fees.

Well im not doing that because its expensive and the games not worth it.

However i was thinking about getting BF2 (NOT BF2142) and just have a few questions.

1.How many maps does it have?
2.Do you have to earn ingame points to get certian weapons?
3.Is there a ranking system?
4.can you host your own games?
5.does it use Punkbuster?

and the big question.....

6.Whats the mission objectives like?

Because in warrock you just have to capture the enemys base so whats objective in BF2?

1.12 or 13 that ship with the game but there are custom maps available
2.yes
3.yes, it uses the marines ranking system from private to general(this is how you get unlocks or the new weapons)
4.yes
5.yes
6.it's capture the flag with tickets(each ticket is a respawn if your team doesn't hold enough of the flags the tickets slowly decrease on their own)
