BC2 crashing!

Hey guys,

Has anyone had crashing issues with BC2 lately?...im not sure if its an update they have applied or something or windows updating...but this past 4 or 5 rounds of BC2 online has crashed my pc and the sound is just looping,I have to hard reset the computer.

Ive gone back to all stock clocks on my system so that rules out an unstable overclock causing it somehow.

But its still crashing,Never had this problem before and clueless where to begin. :P

I have it too. Every time that I play multiplayer it crashes after a few minutes. I have tested my cpu and gpu at stock clocks as well. Same thing. It must be the game.

ive been on other forums and theyre saying they are having the same problem...im wondering its its Atis latest drivers! or a update to BC2. :/

I would think that it was from the last update to BC2. I tried different drivers after the crashes started happening.

Salvage it must be AMDs 11.2 drivers,Its only started happening since they were released.

Early preview of 11.4 looks promising though,Theyre showing quite a boost in most of the latest games from whats been tested on overclock.net.

Up to 19% performance improvement in Aliens vs. Predator
Up to 22% performance improvement in Batman: Arkham Asylum
Up to 15% performance improvement in Crysis Warhead
Up to 26% performance improvement in FarCry 2
Up to 28% performance improvement in Metro2033
Up to 50% performance improvement in Unigine Heaven

BUT....people are still reporting even with early 11.4 drivers that BC2 is crashing..exactly like the problem you and me are having. :/

Not a clue what where early 11.3 drivers are.

I gonna be formating my system soon,Il probably go back to 11.1

Thanks for the info Nevakonaza. I should try going back a bit further.

Do you think that the dew drivers will help my 4850? Seems to me that the drivers for something that old would be revised this late. Maybe I have that all wrong.

Well ive re-installed windows 7,and installed the older 11.1 drivers and BC2 works flawless now...just played 3 full rounds and no crashing whatsoever.

Not sure if the new drivers will help your 4850 ,I think they are more optimised for 5 & 6 series.
But i would stay away from the very latest drivers anyway for now,11.1 is working for me so im going to stick with them.

Does anyone know what the "Power control settings" actually does in Catalyst?..you know the -20 to 20 bar?
