BFBC2 Vienam

Anybody managed to play BFBC2Vienam yet i cant get past the login stage then it tells me to try again.
 
Did you pre-order the game before the 18th of December?

If you didn't pre-order it and have bought it after the 18th you won't be able to play it till the 21st I think.
 
Go into Steam,where it lists your games....right click on Battlefield Bad company 2 and select "View Game CD Key"...there it should display your CD keys for both BC2 & Vietnam seperatly...copy to clipboard the Vietnam key and paste it in the "redeem code" box.

All should be good,Ive just done mine. :)

I bought it on the 18th and I was able to start playing within minutes after buying it.

What do everybody think about this game? Honestly, I prefer BC2 over Vietnam. It may be because I don't have any weapons or gadgets that I like. I really don't care for any of the maps either.

What is the deal with the weapons? Do you get unlocks just like in BC2? When do you get the unlocks?
 
I still prefer BC2,Im not all that impressed with Vietnam tbh....ive played on two diffrent maps so far and they were not all that great.

Whats going on with the Ranking system? does it carry over from BC2? because when i looked i was rank 29 or something then the next time i looked i was rank 2.

I agree with you. It could be that I do not have the weapons that I like but I much rather play BC2.

I noticed the same thing with the ranking system. In the middle of a round, it will show my correct ranking. But when I go to the home page, it shows rank 1. A couple of times, I did not have any weapons or gadgets either.
 
I, on the other hand think the new Vietnam expansion is awesome. There are a few balance issues, but apart from that I have no problem with it... It's slightly different to BC2, which makes it feel like an entirely new game!

The only things I don't really like are some of the weapons aren't balanced well, and Helicopters are near impossible to shoot down if you don't know what you are doing.

I do however LOVE the new M40 Sniper, it kicks the arse of all the standard BC2 snipers.
 
Played it for a bit longer today,Still not sure about the maps :/

The M16A Rifle kicks but though!,I do like the weapons in Vietnam.
