black ops call of duty for wii problems using online please help

hi guys

my son is trying to use the multigame setting that goes online, but keep getting the message cannot log on to server please try later, im using it through a netgear wireless router wgr614v9.

i have tried reinstalling but to no avail, internet works fine through wii but not black ops.

please help

many thanks for your response, i did find out the portforward way just after posting, i forgot about that site as i have used it before, it worked a treat.
