Hey,
Here are some components i was looking at online to see what kind of computer i should make. Does this look ok?

Case - Guardian Mid-T or Aerocool Mid-T $70

CPU - Intel P4 - 3.20GHz/Socket 478/800MHz $290

Memory - ULTRA - 333MHz PC2700/2x 512mb $85

HDD - Western Digital - ULTRA ATA-100/200GB/7200rpm/8mb/9.5 $90

Video card - Radeon 9200

Power Supply - ULTRA 400W PS DUAL 80mm Fans $45

If this works together what kind of motherboard would be good for it and sound card?

Asus and Abit are considered tried and true motherboards. What do you want to do with this computer? Where online are you shopping? Newegg.com, harddrive.com, buy.com, zipzoomfly.com, mwave.com, pagecomputers.com, allstarshop.com, are cheap and Bizrate certified. :)
good luck

I would suggest that you go out and purchase a 1 gig chip rather than 2 512s. This will allow you to upgrade easier. If this PC is going to run high-end games then I suggest you get a Soundblaster Audigy LS.

a 9200 may be underpowered, but the rest of the components have the potental for a solid performer
