Can I hook up xbox live through pc instead of laptop?

I know there is only one ethernet port on my motherboard, and to me this is the reason it cannot be done, but is there such an adapter or something that would make it work? My pc is connected to my router, my xbox is wireless at the time, but I want to go wired without running a long cable into another to my router. The only reason i want to do this is because I want to buy the wirless turtle beach headphones and I hear the xbox wireless interfers with the signal. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You need a wireless adapter for your Desktop computer so you can connect to the internet wirelessly on your Desktop freeing up the Ethernet Port, then you plug your xbox into the Ethernet port and go to your internet settings and allow it to share. ( I wouldn't know how to, i've read of this but haven't done it.)
