is this possible? i have to share opne of my main internet computers with the family. im typing on it as we speak. and the only problem that i have ismy sisters bf insists of DL a program that i dont want on the computer.

so everyday i go ahead a delete it. so what i should really do is tell him that he shouldnt as it isnt his house etc.

so is there a way to stop him from downloading this program? he has a account you see as does the other 4 people i live with.

one optiojn i could use is to stop him being an administrator and i dont want that. what could i do? any suggestions? and telling him would be a good one but we all have to live under the same roof. thanks! :D

What program is it and is it hurting anyone having it on there?

It’s just a program, is it necessary to offend your sisters bf for that fact that you don’t want a certain program on the computer.

If the program is not hurting anyone, then just leave it on there.

its bit torrent, limewire, utorrent etc.

and hes a brilliant fella i jus dont appreciated DL.

any other suggestions?

Well, I don’t think anyone on here is going to make up or change your mind on how you want to handle the situation. Here is some more insight on what you could do.

Maybe you could discuss it with your sister? And let her know that what he is doing could affect the computers health and could possibly be illegal. Not the act of installing the programs, but with what is obtained by them, viruses and other illegal material. Even though this is a stretch it could be the mature thing to do. You have a little more pull seeing how it is a family computer and he should respect your thoughts, but that’s not usually how it goes, especially if he is older than you.

The only other option is to take his administrative privileges away through his account.

My next suggestion is to pray that your sister finds a new bf.

I.m not as forgiving, after I told him once or twice and its my computer, there be alittle bit of foot action going on:eek:

But the fact it's the family computer doesnt make it "your own" I rule my computers with an iron fist, but thats because I "own them".
