cannot see a video in a single shot

I have a problem since a long time.Whenever I go the national geographic video website and try to see the beautiful videos there, it gets stuck in between ( http://cgi.nationalgeographic.com/channel/video/cgi-bin/NGPortal.pl?bitrate=400k)
It seems it is optimised for broadband.Even I have broadband but of 56 kbps speed. That could possible be a reason of the slow performance of the video on my pc.I tried replaying the same video but again the same thing happened.I am very weak in computer technically and cannot fix it myself for sure.Tried contacting them but of no use.I have real player(or windows media player) installed in my pc , so if I play the video in that, I am sure it would be better. Please let me know how do I fix the problem.Thankyou again for your help.

for me it doesnt run very smooth.. but its fine.
when you play it, is it just playing choppy? or desnt anything play at all?
because if it runs choppy,;. let it run for some time, and scroll back to the start of the movie :) if it runs smoother then, it definately your internet speed.

I tried that but it didnt work

I tried to play it for a while and scrolled it back to a previous track on the same video. But it was the same again.I am not sure of the meaning of "choppy", but I can say that it was playing for very small time and then pauses till a new track comes along.I dont know how to avert this problem.
Can I play the same video with real player or windows media player?...If so, how should I go about it? Alternately, will downloading macromedia flash player be helpful considering that the videos are being played by the same.Any inputs would be really appreciated..Thanks again.
