cant get wireless to work...

my naybor "septic" said i can use his connection to get on... i have a "belkin wireless adapter" and he said i can use his connection... but it wont let me connect... can you please help me?

Is it a secure network? You might be too far away as well.

Does he have a WEP/password on his connection/internet? If so, you'll need the key. Is his signal strong? or weak?

no its not a secure network... he has no wep-key

belkin wireless G adapter, and it has him as connected... but when i click connect... it says i cant connect... then when it lets me... the connect button is in shadow

have him reboot his wireless AP. Sounds like it is possibly not getting an IP dynamically from the wireless host. Just a guess though.

ok.... it was pissin me off... ok... i went out and bought a router and it still doesnt work

You would have to set up your router in a wireless bridge mode to bridge the networks together

In the router set up use the same SSID and the same security settings, then set the wireless to bridge mode
