Can't un-install Oblivion

I get this message everytime I try and un-install it...

I tried installing it again, it gets to the last bit and it just hangs, I can't do anything.

What do you suggest?

I've tried doing it through CCleaner, Add and Remove programs and the CD.

I get this message:

Anybody?

EDIT: I tried un-installing it in safe mode and I got the same error message?

if all else fails, just make sure that no part of the gam is running, and delete the folder from program flies. Then you could try to uninstall again, and if that fails, at least your HD space is freed up.

If you really want to go through the correct uninstall method, you could try reinstalling it incase the uninstall files got corrupted.

This happened to me with a game once.

I ended up installing again.and removing what i could from my pc.
I then went under installshield information (hidden file in program files)

And deleted the file with a link to the game. This fixed my problem

Not sure if it helped any.

But if you decide to start deleting random files in the folder..you should first make a system restore point. as i deleted the wrong one.and ended up with no sound.

ive got the same problem. it all happened a loong loong time ago... (phases to next scene)

i thought 'hmm, why not upgrade from XP pro to XP media centre?' so that i did, it just so happened to be not so legitimate, and appeared as if by magic on my harddrive... during the installation all was well until it loaded windows for the first time, where i got a load of missing file errors, lost parts of my admin control and firewall control.
i could not access ATI catalyst, or uninstall certain programs... i was screwed over but couldnt be bothered to reformat or repair to XP pro again.

basically... have you had a major software upgrade recently? if so, thats your problem.

(I DO NOT CONDONE DOWNLOADING ILLEGAL COPIES OF THINGS, THIS STORY IS FOR FICTIONAL REFERENCE ONLY AND ALTHOUGH ENTIRELY TRUE, STILL FICTIONAL, SO DONT PUNISH ME)

Nope, No major software upgrade or anything, well, I put BF2 on but it couldn't be that...

It isn't an illegal copy, I have the disc, I tried to install it again but it just hangs when it gets to the end.
