Cant watch videos after gaming

After I play a game and go to watch a movie, the movie looks black. The sound plays but no video. This happens with all games and all movie players. anyone have any suggestions? thanks
 
I doubt it's the card temps, although not impossible. I'd say it's going to more than likely be an out of date graphics driver. I get some similar problem if I have a driver that isn't compatible with the video codecs I'm using... What's your make/model of graphics card?
 
ok so i downloaded the new driver and video still looks dark and have a red hue. this happens all the time now not just after playing a game.
 
Try rolling back to a previous version, or trying some different ones from www.guru3d.com I'm currently using the 94.24 drivers on my 7600 GT and it's working perfectly as far as I can tell...
 
Try to reinstall Windows under Windows itself over old Windows directory. Your system files would rewritten with the fresh ones. Your installed softwares would not be removed by this kind of re-installation.
