I will start with telling you the whole story and hope that someone will understand my question.
So in one hotel are using a program "Star". With this program the employers can reserve some rooms, check the status of the rooms and so on (they can practicly do everything about managing the hotel). Sometimes this program works very slowly.
In one other hotel they have the same program and they have a worse hardware but the program works faster.
So the IT manager of the first hotel told me that he has a different server configuration.
He said something like that, that he has a storage server?! and they have a local server but if something crash in their hotel (when the program "Star" works faster) they are in deep shit.
I hope that someone understood what I'm talking about and can help to understand what is going on..
Maybe can someone posts some link of some pages where I can find the answer..
