Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

for some reason, my PC decided it would drop to 2-9 FPS when I'm playing online... it only happens when the battle gets going and there a lot of units on the field.

which leads me to believe that my CPU is choking?? but low FPS=GPU????

maybe I should turn my GPU fan up a tad?

It's probably a little bit of both, but yeah your GPU looks a little hot there... Remember that the recommended requirements aren't necessarily for the max settings, probably in this case more for the default/standard settings. Try turning some settings down a bit like AA or something else graphics related because that's obviously what's holding you up...

I believe that it should be fine. Not familiar with the brand, but you've only got 2 HDD and 1 optical drive in addition to your processor and GPU. I've got an Antec 450W running 2 optical, 4 HDD, a 7600GT and a AMD 3500+. So, I think that your ok with that PSU.

BTW, your avatar is disturbing... :P

how about them temps???

crazy... thats with all of my fans cranked up on high including the GPU fan...

see what a damn good game of 1v1 for 3 hours can do?

Q1 of 2208 the 9800 is supposed to be released. It's up to you, I would wait, but it seems you've contracted a strain of "oh noez! Mah GPU's is laggin', here I comes GTX!". Dangerous stuff that, Don't go outside.

well, theres that and I'm starting to get concerned on the maximum heat limitation of silicone.

I dunno, I'd guess somewhere around 90-100*c. You shouldn't play at, or even reach, those levels but considering the x1900's series' mean heat streak i wouldn't be surprised if you actually hit 80*c under some heavy load.
