Company of Heroes

Hi guys I recently installed Company of Heroes on my computer but I get miserable frames. I play at 1680X1050 and everything is at the highest settings. I get around 15-20 frames. I have Vista-32 along with the following:

8800gtx
Corsair XMSC4 pc6400 800MHz 2048
e4300
Asus P5B Deluxe

Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way I have the latest driver for 8800GTX.

I play on maxed settings, granted my resolution is 1440x900 but that is odd I never had any issues with FPS.

Yea i dont play on all high settings but out of curiousity i just bumped them up to the max, and it played fine.
When the battles got intense you could see it slow up a touch but lets be serious my system is no where near as powerful as yours should be.

My only thought could be, it is a very memory intensive game, so that coupled with the fact that vista is very memory intensive in comparison to xp, so maybe your running short on memory?

Check to see what your "peak" memory is?

That would be the biggest difference that I would point out is that you're on running on Vista... Other than that, everything looks good...

Well, the E4300 is a little out of place with the rest of the system. It's probably being CPU bound. Still, 15-20 frames is still very playable, it's not like an FPS where FPS is everything.

Yeah, I wrote it that way purposely but it is supposed to mean "...First Person Shooter where Frame Per Second..." because using the same abbreviation for 2 different things one word apart looks funny and if it looks even semi funny or stupid chances are I'll write it :P

I'm glad i found this thread. I've been wanting to buy the game for a while now, but I don't think the system I have now will be able to play it at a respectable frame rate. Would I be able to play with settings set moderately high and still get good FPS?
My system specs are in my sig...

Low/med at a 1024 x 768 res. My guess.

OP should turn off AA and AS, the FPS killers.
