I was just wondering, whats the difference between teh Green, blue and Red connctor for video, and using the yellow one on the xbox. I mean, is there a difference in screen quality, or what?

Well i don't know much about the xbox, but the green, red and blue cables your referring to are called component cables. They can output 1080p is some cases and with certain tvs.

If your talking about the xbox 360, then it'll improve visuals by a lot, from 480i --> 1080i, warranted your tv is capable of producing it.

HDMI is required to bring it to 1080p, but it won't be a huge difference unless your screen is capable of handling it, and your sitting pretty close to a large screen.

edit: component can bring it to 1080p, it'll just be analog as opposed to digital, and will require audio cables, including an optical for surround sound.

i thought the component could do 1080p. i could be wrong. i am googling it now.

edit: yes it is, the only difference between the hdmi and the component is that hdmi is one cable that can do sound and video, component is 5 cables and CANT do surround sound

It can...but it's kinda complicated, i'm not too sure myself. I would say it does though.

HDMI is like the digital form of 1080p, where component is the analog, but they should be similar enough.

edit: surround sound is different, you'll need a receiver and a digital out from the source, to the receiver. Component can do it, it'll just need an optical cable to run to the receiver.
