Hey guys! I must say I have always been fascinated in computers and technology. I've always wanted to build my own computer (never had the cash) and learn everything there is to know about the process. I have a few books on how to do this and I have an understanding of it. I want to make computers my career. ITT Tech offers a Computer and Electronics Engineering Technology. There seems very interesting and pretty much exactly what I'd like to do.

My questions are; Are there any books or links that I can read up on to further my knowledge in this field before I actually apply for college? I do not know too much about this, but its what I want to do and I can learn/pick things up very quickly and excel at them. Will this field allow me to have a successful career and make decent money? Anything that will help me prepare will be very helpful.

ITT Tech is the only school that I know of in my area ( AZ-Tempe) that offers this program. If you guys have any other suggestions to schools please feel free to let me know. Thank you for your time.

If you like computers then go for it. I know UEI has a computer class but not sure if there is one where you live.

Go to an actual university first get your basics done, somewhere that is accredited, then research your tech school and make sure they are accredited so all your credits transfer and you can get an actual degree.
