Computer lights flash...no startup

my computer was running and my uncle turned the fuse off that gives power to that plug...i try to turn it back on and the power light, laser mouse light, and lights inside computer flash like crazy until i hold the power button in to turn it off. nothing shows up on the screen, it shows the idle yellow light on the monitor for a few secs then green as if there is something coming on it but then nothing and that happens over and over. (one of the attempts to turn it on worked and the comp loaded up normally but after a while i guess it was back to square one....my lil sister told me it loaded up i was out and asked her to see if it worked)

also..the power supply fan and other fans come on as normally but i hear no system beeps..

anyone know what happened?
 
omg you are the best person in the history of the internet.

i just took the battery out to reset the bios and put it back in and it works!! i was getting ready to send my computer in to get fixed and all LOL..
 
god damnit...

i thought it was fixed...but after 5 mins the computer just turns off (no blue screen...just no power and lights flashing again)

i have another computer with exact same parts...anything i could do to troubleshoot?
 
yes try swapping out power supplies. another one i'd do would be running 1 ram stick at a time or swapping 1 ram stick from another computer
