you can try running spware and adaware programs, also trying cleaning up your start up registery. after that listen to the guys above.

The cheapest and easiest way to "boot performance" is with the addition of more RAM.



What programs are you running which cause you to want a faster machine? Are you a gamer, are newer games causing problems? Is this computer only used to browse the Internet and use Microsoft Office products? etc...







dmsee, you should start with doubling the RAM and work from there. Give us a small list of the kinds of applications you use on your computer and we can tell you whether or not it will behoove you to spend money on upgrades for your machine.

Yes but then common sense kicks in and we realize that not everyone can just go out and buy a new proc.... and thus we adjust our advice to be meaningful.
