Connect Anywhere Wireless?

Hi,

Is it possible to connect to my internet connection anywhere via wireless connection on my laptop?
I am going on a road trip and need to check my e-mails, is it possible to connect wirelessly anywhere?

I look forward to hearing from you

Aside from hot-spots, you could find some wireless card that runs off the cellular network. I know Verizon has one, but don't expect steller performance. Most places give you about 14.4 speeds, with a few select areas having broadband speeds. Typically there's a brochure that gives you info on these ares.

If you needed anymore confirmation.. yes, but no.

You can with hotspots as said above. Stop by Starbucks, McDonalds, etc. and hop on the hotspot to check your emails, etc. Take into consideration that if you have manually setup your ip/dns configuration, you will have to erase it and run on automatic detect.
