Coolermaster Elite 330 Free After rebates @ Newegg & Tigerdirect

That's the Elite 330 Oscar. :P

Still a very good case from what I hear, I'd get it while you can, even at about $30.

I actually like the Elite 330 more, the Centurion 5 looks a little old compared to the 330, methinks it's time they retired the 5.

I just got one on newegg, the LAST one. After I ordered it, the item went out of stock! I was really nervous until they emailed me and said that it was charged. Wohoo :D, my case for my next build.
 
Yup, I was originally going to go with a Micro-atx case, but this one is only a tiny bit bigger, and its free, so i snagged it :D. Can't wait till it arrives.

On another note, are there any reviews of this case online?
 
Yeah, Tiger actually burned me with this one. I was going to pick one up since I'm always fixing heat issues with the computer they have in their store and this offers a lot of airflow. I go on TD and att it to my card first, then I do a bit of shopping (maybe 5 minutes total) and add a few more items. Everything is in the cart. Now, between my pressing the final 'Add to cart' item, and going to 'My Cart' everything was fine. When I pressed 'Proceed to Checkout'...everything is there except the case. ??? Turns out they ran out within that spread of 20 seconds. Which is BS since they still have the Elite330, but it's base price is now $10 higher and rebate is only $15. Bastards...

I tried calling and spoke with Xavier, and he took my name and info and said that I could get the new listing of the case, still use the $30 rebate, and not be charged for shipping, and that he would have a sales rep call back, but never did. I'm wondering if it's even worth pursuing.

Never take any rebates or anything from TD. Big time ripoff coming. I don't even trust Newegg in rebates these days... Too risky...
 
well, I after my phone call with him, I started looking around, and noticed that there were different UPC's on the case they were going to offer (still the Elite 330, but a KN instead of KR) so that will be an issue with the rebate. I think I'll call up tomorrow and make a tell them they really should fix it. I already have the free shipping (supposedly), but I'll see if then can't give me the two 120mm fans I was going to order for free to help offset the FU. I have a really long history with Tiger and my account activity shows tons of $ over the last 3-ish years, so I'm hoping that will sway things a bit in my favor. I can just tell them I can drive to Newegg's NJ warehouse and back in three hours from now on instead of using Tiger, too:cool:

I've had great luck with 'Tigerbates' in the past. I was wary of the whole On-Rebate thing at first, but aside from the time (seriously, it takes 2 days to reach their office from my mailbox and two days back, yet I don't get a check for 9 weeks?) it's all good. My last 2 (3?) purchases came from Newegg. I like them - cheaper all around for the most part, but I live literally 90 miles from them and don't get my stuff for 3 days :mad: And I flat-out hate their shipping costs though, but what are ya gonna do? :P

I feel your guys pain. i ordered a PSU, and a video card from newegg around May 2007. I never saw a dime.
$40 may not seem like much but its the principle of the matter. I will never oder a newegg item involving rebates ever agian.
