Hey guys. I wanted to pick up the Crysis Maximum edition off Amazon but When I was reading the reviews I read that a lot of the people are really frustrated with the DRM. Anyone have it and hate the DRM and know what it does?

Just your average log in with user name etc. Same as any other game.

Its nothing to moan about. Maybe for the reviewers it was their first pc game or something and they werent used to drm with pc's.

Iv never had a problem with it (is maximum edition the big red case with c1 c warhead and the maps packs? if so thats what i have).

Same one i have, iv never had a problem with it. And iv also never had anything pop un on ant virus whilst using. Or malwayre bytes.

Id say your pretty safe mate :D And its an awesome package/game

GlHF :D

EDIT: just read the review about limited installs. Not sure how accurate that is as i dont remember having to be online to install it. To be honest i dont remember having to put the code in until i tried multiplayer.

That said if you want the game for MP just double check on EA forums about number of allowed installs. He could be over exaggerating but better to check.

If you just want the game for SP though go ahead :D

Crysis + Warhead both come with SecuROM. Warhead has a deactivation tool, the original does not, this is where the problem comes.

I suggest you buy the games on Steam as if you have a problem you can get support from both Valve and EA if you run out of installations. Personally I just take care to preserve my Crysis install, and have it backed up on DVD.
