CRYSIS!! look out video cards!!!

At 1024 X 768 I could run it on medium at 45fps when just walking/driving around, and around 20fps when in battle.

EVGA 8800GT
Athlon X2 5000+
2 Gigs Dual Channel 667Mhz
Some Crappy Dell Mobo

how do you guys know how many fps the game is running at that time? Are you guys running a program at the same time the game is running?

I ran the program at 1152x864 with 2X AA and everything on medium, it was running at 12fps.
It seems low but the weird thing is that it wasnt lagging.

Try turning the AA off, you don't need it if you have the motion blur on, it'll increase your FPS ;)

I can run it at 1280x960, no AA and everything on medium except objects, water and effects which are on high. I get very little slow-down but the game is like a sea of jaggies and cut-scenes are like slide-shows. Other than that, the game looks awesome, oh yeah and it's fun as hell. Just don't try and play it on Delta mode, it's just no fun when you no longer have that superman feeling.

well i ran the prime95 test, and it said it passed. so i dunno y it freezes after awhile..o well...play it till the wheels fall off i guess lol, im buy a 9800gtx as soon as tehy come out just because i can

Crysis is freaking awesome!!!
Does it only require an awesome video card (GeForce 8800 GT 512mb GDDR3 PCI-E) , a good processor (Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz) with a lot of RAM (like 2 gigs). That seems to me like it could handle it at high settings, good resolution at 30+ FPS in firefights. I might be wrong though, I have no idea... :P

This game is like a kick in the balls. First it eats your computer as an appetiser and says "is that it?", then it provides you with 5 hours of epic fun before dumping you into a frozen wasteland and letting you play out the worst final level ever. In all honesty I thought the last few chapters were awful. What happened to planning your attack, tactics and flanking? All that becomes useless after you reach the half way mark because it no longer requires any skill, it's just run and gun. The best aspect of the game was the "sandbox" style of gameplay but they take that away from you after about the half way mark and the rest is just linear go-from-point-A-to-point-B gameplay. I mean WTH! Crytek made the exact same mistake with FarCry so why haven't they sorted it out?

My current machine gets 10-15fps everything maxed with DX9 1440x900

Im thinking of getting a new videocard.....meh...im not made of money.

Do you think my system can run it on max with updated drivers
q6600 2.4
2gig 800mhz
8800gts 640mb
7200rpm 500gb
nforce 680i

max? nah.
high? maybe, probably will have low FPS.
medium, definitely.

download the demo and try it out before buying it to see how your pc will handle the game.
