High-poly world models: http://gamebanana.com/members/758539 (click skin submission, download all the HD/Hi Res ones for CS:S)
High-poly bullet shells: http://gamebanana.com/css/skins/28796
High-res player skin world models: http://gamebanana.com/css/skins/90686

NOTE: sv_pure 1/2 servers will force default models for everything.

Pretty neat, going to install these. It re-skins all the world models (third person) for weapons/players/other with 1:1 equivalents of their view models (what you see when you hold them), more or less.

Can't do the in game textures for walls and stuff because that requires you to edit stuff that also allows texture exploits.

Use these if you want CS:S to feel a little less 2004 ;)

Or if you're lucky you can just enjoy CS:GO like me :P
Though, it's coming out in august, and it will only be $15, so really good price too.

I have the beta.

I'm just going to say that CS:GO is very much the console version right now, and not enjoyable for me, for many reasons. At this point, I don't think I want to buy the game

If you head over to the steam forums, I am Overclocker_, and you can see all my threads/posts to get my full opinion on many things. That or just check my youtube vids (adrian5606 is my username on YT)

How did you get CS:GO Lucas? I might get it if I can get a free few days trial first...

On topic, I might install those, anyone ever got any issue with new skins?

It's very simple. They're not even skins, just high quality world models (what you see when they're on the ground or when other people are holding them) Just extract the files somewhere, from each folder, copy the "materials" and "models" folders into cstrike.

Only use the ones I linked if you're using the stock 1st person models, because that's what the high-res/hi-poly world models are based on.

I don't have it. I plan to buy it when it comes out though :P

Hold that thought. Check out my latest youtube uploads for comparisons of 1.6, CS:S, and CS:GO and my thoughts on stuff. Then see if you still want to buy it. Of course once each patch comes I'll update my info.

To be completely honest, I watched your videos, and I still feel CS:GO is worth $15. It's fun, and I have no serious complaints about it. Bugs are bugs and well, it's still a beta. And even when it's released, it will still have bugs, like pretty much every other game. I accept that.
