css on two comps

can i install...the same css disk.
on my desktop then on my laptop.
register the same acc. but not use them both at once.


so if i want to play css on my laptop when iam not home. but still play on the same acc when iam home.

Yes, as long as you are signed in to your account through Steam before you can download the actual games..........

No, because in order to play Counter Strike or for any other game for that matter on Steam, you have to be signed on to your account and only one account can be active/in-use or Steam will kick you off the server. I'm not so sure about offline games but I think you can play on the same account for multiple machines but I assume that you can't be connected to the internet to do so......

Edit: Actually, you may be able to LAN with the same account on two different machines as long as you stay in offline mode but I'm not even sure they still HAVE offline mode...... You really would have to try yourself I guess...........

I have done it before with my brother, we started a Lan game against each other (didn't play anyone online games) and we didn't have any troubles.

Get Xfire, it's much easier for most people to play together than using CS/Steam client. If you do choose to use xfire, my screen name is weheartbumblebeetuna or iheartbumblebeetuna..... One of those, I can't remember...... But I'm signed on most of the time.........

You can install Steam and all your games on as many computers as you want, but you cant be on the same server or else one will be blacked out.

If you install it on one pc, and use the same account on another PC, then you will have to keep entering your password because it will say that someone else logged onto the same account.
