i have a bit of a problem, and maybe a couple of you may know what to do. i d-loaded videora, to transfer videos from limewire to the correct ipod format. the problem is that, it is way to big of a process to get it on my ipod, and then when i do, all of my ipod songs are deleted.?

the process that i do is:

d-load whatever video i am doing from limewire
save it to my desktop
go into videora, and make it into the correct format
then from itunes, i go to file "add file to library"
then select the video that was translated that i saved onto desktop
then go to "movies" and right click on the vid, and go to "covert selection to ipod"

then from this when its done, i cant just drag it over to my ipod name... it doesnt highlight, so i have to change my settings to "manual" drag it, then it works, but then all of my songs are deleted. someone please help me out with this, and if you know of any other ways to do this PLEASE PLEASE SHARE!!!

thanks soooooooooooooo much

Dustin

wow that too many steps!!!

ok heres what you want to do....

download your videos from a legitimate website ;)
mentioning limewire is against the forum rules (i think: someone correct me if im wrong)

then use videora ipod converter to convert it and then just drag it in to your library, there is no need to use the converter built into itunes

then just leave your ipod on auto snyc...it should be fine:D

o i didnt know that was against the rules.

but how do i get the file INTO videora? all i do is "one click transcode" and then it coverts that file, but that file doesnt show up in the videora library or anthing..

This is a common misconception. Simply mentioning limewire, or bittorrent for that matter, isn't against forum rules. Mentioning limewire or bittorrent in the context of downloading illegal, copyrighted materials, is against forum rules. But limewire and bittorrent both have content that are 100% legal for you to download.

yea i know. it shows that the video is in my "movies" library. and since the movies are automatically sync'd with my ipod, they should just go from the movies library to my ipod. but i get this message " blah blah could not be copied to the ipod "dustin" (my name) because it could not be found. but its right there in my library!

Hmm

May I suggest Cucusoft Ipod Video Converter (http://www.cucusoft.com/ipod-movie-video-converter.asp), it's the best I have tried, although I do not own the full version. It's the simplest to use and does it from almost any format you can think of. It creates a simple file for you in the required format and you just add it to the Itunes library. Very simple. I have done that myself.

All you do is select INPUT -> OUTPUT -> CONVERT!
