Doesn't boot to bios

I have an older compaq motherboard with a 600mhz processor. I installed a new motherboard and the old one was working fine when I replaced it. I now put it into a new box and hooked everything up. It starts up, but the video doesn't work. The pci video card that I'm using for it works fine. There is no beep on startup, thought it may have been the memory but they work fine also. I am out of ideas. Can anyone help?

no beep means your board is like a brick (nothing worth) or your CPU is gone.
if you have a LED on your board check if it's on, if not you may check your voltage cable. does your FAN move a bit by pressing power on button ?? if yes .. see board or cpu gone .. if now movement on fan(s) check your power suppy. hope it works

bye
