DOS who?

I am trying to install Windows 98 on the second hard drive in a Compaqu Pentium. The installer only wants to install it on the hard drive the operating system is already on. It says if I want to change the installation to another hard drive, that I will have to restart in MSDOS and use a command prompt.

MSDOS is Greek to me. What can I do? Can anyone out there help me?

Thanks. This is my first posting. Gordoncanada

1. Boot up via a Windows98 bootdisc (you can probably still download on off Microsoft but dont quote me). Make sure you enable CDROM support

2. When you're at the DOS prompt type D: (or whatever letter corresponds to your CD drive). Then type setup and the installer should start

3. Make sure you point the installation to a different drive -- W98 has a difficult time with multiple OSes on one partition

Just wondering because im not to familiar with 98, does the gui setup you run while in windows the same .exe you run in dos? I know this is not so with XP at least.
