For some reason I am unable to download program's/movies/music/images and what not now. I click the link to save it and it asks me where I want to save it and I choose an option and press ok but after that the download window doesnt pop up saying its downloading. Nothing happens and nothing gets downloaded. Can anyone help???

My guess is your using torrents (sorry if im wrong)...and the reason you cant save it is because you are trying to save the torrent location file. I cant really talk about that though so im gonna shut up now.

Torrents arent necessarily illegal (unless you are USING THEM to dl illegal stuff)

No im not downloading torrents. Im direct downloading from a website. It isnt the website because I have tried NUMEROUS websites and have the same results. Im trying to download movies/images. My computer doesnt have any virus's or spyware.

Can you maybe give a link to one of these sites (as long as its not porn lol :D ). If one of us can download it, then we'll have a better answer probly.

Its a membership site (not porn). Im not saying that JUST the files on that site wont download...im saying EVERYWHERE I go now I cant download anything. Either it be a movie, an image or programs.

A box comes up saying "Open pcw2006_b171" and I selected save to disk then hit ok but nothing happened....so no it didnt work??? This is weird???

with Firefox shut down, delete the file downloads.rdf from your profile folder

Settings\<Windows login/user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Profile name>\

in other words
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<Profile name>\

or just search for downloads.rdf and delete it

wow this is gay! Im trying to install Firefox 2.0 (I had 1.5 perviously) and when I get down downloading it a box comes up saying "Security-Warning" "This file was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher". What the heck does that mean???
