Dual Monitors and Gaming

I am considering getting dual monitors, and I am a fairly avid gamer. I was wondering how this would work, would the game be displayed on just one monitor? I do not want to stretch the game across two monitors.

anybody have any experience with dual monitors and gaming?
 
I had mine setup a while ago, my main screen played the game, then my secondary screen just sat there, at the desktop.
I couldn't access it unless my main screen was at the desktop to.
 
when you run a game in windowed mode, you can move the pointer to the other screen tough. (at least, that worked with WoW when I used it)
 
yeah, the only problem with dual monitors and games is you cant use the mouse on the other monitor without minimizing the game... as the mouse is locked inside the game.. though it is different with TMN... i use dual monitors all the time and i just have MSN, TS and iTunes running on my second monitor so i can see whats going on while playing my game... its really quite good :D

the only problem with running games in windowed mode is the CPU usage usually gets Very high...
 
I had some issues with having two monitors connected. Like when I play a game the screen goes black for a few seconds and then it's normal again. This is repeated until I stop playing.
