[Easy fix but im new] NO sound

Ok well i just got my computer up and running yesterday and cant wait to play halflife2. But...my sound doesnt work. I have my speakers all plugged in but i was wondering if there was anything i had to enable, download because my computer says theres no sound system. How do I enable the onboard sound with my motherboard? Its a logitech 2.1 speaker system BTW.

Have a look around in Control Panel ---> Sounds And Audio Devices... Make sure nothing is wrong, check nothing is muted, ect... I have onboard sound (6 Channel Audio) and that was automatically enabled for me when I started the computer...

I went to control panel-> audio devieces and it says that no device is detected even though its plugged in...Hrm mayb I wired something wrong inside when I had to plug in all those cables to enable audio...

Well i figured it out! Yeah, Im happy. The problem was one of the device drivers wasnt installed so I went through and found it and installed it! Ok well Im off to play HL2!
