Easy problem

Today i changed my CMOS battery. And i start my computer and it says CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded. My BOPS os Award Modular BIOS v6.00PGN , An Energy Star Ally. I changed the CMOS battery to a different model. Someone help? how do i make the message go away?

the new battery has to have exactly the same voltage ! you have to set your bios to the correct cpu (if it's not auto dedecting), speed, drives and so on. after that is done, you have to save your settings, reboot and it should work fine again.

don't power off after new bios settings !
