FARCRY 2 vs. Crysis

My graphics card sucks, so put me down for neither too.

If I could upgrade then it would be a different matter altogether.

They both look amazing but I never end up finishing these types of games.

I know what you mean. I haven't finished Bioshock yet, though I've had plenty of time to play it over the last week. It's a great game, my attention is easily taken, however. Maybe I'll play it tomorrow...

I also didn't complete Doom3 on the PC (did on the Xbox a year earlier) Rise of nations, Overlord and so many more.. It's a shame.

I will get both...

I completed COD2, AoEIII, CoH, and HL2. I am not exactly waiting on them, like counting hours or days. I just know they'll be here when they get here, lol. I like Battlefield: Bad Company, too.

Bad company isn't set to come to the PC unless the console version is successful. Other than that I know nothing of the game, lol.

So far i've completed all the games i've bought (unless they were really bad :) ) but I cant say I'm really waiting for FarCry 2 or Crysis, I mean, they do both look great etc,.. but I dont think they'll be (much) better than FarCry. but thats just me :o

crysis on full settings will be insane.

with grafic's maybe... but there is way more to a good game but grafics

Well when you think of the FPS genre what are the first things you think of? I think of #1 the gunz/gameplay #2 the graphics #3 the enemies. Crysis has all these things (as we now know it). Sure games like HL2 had you thinking of the story and such, But most FPS games are known for merits other than this, in areas which Crysis excel. A stories main accomplishment is drawing a player into the game, but this can be done without a good story.. Frantic, tight firefights, environments clearer, and more detailed than ever before, Freedom, Enemy reactions/enemy behavior.

I mean but looking at the game, and not concentrating on the graphics, which I've done BTW, leaves me feeling this is going to be a good game, graphics aside. Large open areas like Farcry, intelligent AI, Highly destructible and immersing environments, and more. The only way I can see this game becoming a disappointment is bad gameplay, like the flow of battles, or repetition(not to mention buggy). But this aside I can't help but feel that Crysis will rise above those hindrances and become the something more, a revolution of gameplay. Bigger, better, smarter than anything before it, and by bounds not petty tiptoes. Sounds great huh?

Well it does to me. :)
