Hi all, I wanna asking about the best upgrade for my pc for dx10 gaming. My old pc was a AMD Athlon64 4200 with 2 gb RAM and an x850 agp. I upgraded to a new case and an 8800gts with a 750 watt power supply and a K9N Neo V3 motherboard all for £250 (complete cost). Do you think it was worth it.

Sure, but that PSU is very much overkill unless you are planning to SLI.

For the amount of money that you spent, I would say that you definitely got a good deal. And while the PSU may be a little overkill in wattage, it's better to do that and be sure that you won't be damaging your more expensive parts...

it would depend on the brand of psu to be honest, but it seems like a fair deal to me. did you get new ram and a cpu too? (or was your old pc socket AM2 already? )

You need Vista for DX10 gaming, everything else looks good beside the PSU. You could have probably settled for 600w. But I've heard 8800 is a power sucker. If anything you'll want RAM with low Latency when gaming, and if you know anything about it, You may want to overclock your processor.
