General Cooling and Case Questions

I've heard that turning on PECI can lower your temps, what is this and is it true?

I don't seem to be able to remove the other side of my case, the side behind the MOBO, could it be rivited in, it has two screws on the back like the windowed side, but it doesn't come off, it even had a hand type groove to push on?

Another thing, I'm thinking of sticking a 120mm fan on my AC 7 Pro using cable ties, think it'll make a difference over the 92mm on at the moment?

Thanks :)

Your always trying to figure out a way to get your system cooler :D

If the fan you put on the heatsink has a high CFM i think it would help.

I know, it's great isn't it! :D

Well, I guess it'll be better than the 92mm one, a 120mm at full pelt? :P
One question though, if the current 92mm fan uses the 4 pin header, can I buy a 120mm fan to plug ino the 4 pin header, or do they only come in 3 pins?

Im pretty sure you can plug a 3pin into a 4 pin. (my zalman is 3 and my mobo is 4 and it works) its obvious were to plug it into because of were the latch is. on mine its the far left pin that isn't used

You may be right, It sounds as if you could.

I think I may add a 120mm to the front and another 120mm to the rear, so how it does, and maybe add a side to it... like this :

know you can get them with 4-pin connectors. Here's an example:http://www.ebuyer.com/product/63281/product_info/rb/0

Thanks for that! Do you know if they come in green with LED's? :P

Think so, Yeah, I'd paint it a cool colour, or use black paper though, it has to look good, I'd probably use something thicker like, cardboard too.

How do you think it's attatched?

Remember it doesnt have to be a 4 pin fan connection, im presuming that a fan with 4 pins is more harder to get and more expensive, id just get a high CFM 3 pin fan instead of searching high and low for a four pin. Also putting that box around looks like a great idea

Damn it! Just found out that the green cathodes are out of stock, so I can't get them anymore, unless I want to pay like £7, which I don't so...

Lol dude you cant just post up your shopping basket, because it acts on your cookies, so we cant see anything you want, it comes up with basket empty

Also one high CFM 120mm fan should be enough, just make sure your exhaust fan at the back is high CFM too so it can push all the air out

Your asking the right person, as i have most of those fans.

The hiper 120mm fan doesnt move that much air for a 120mm, but it moves more than the value one. However the tekheads value blue led fan moves more than both of these fans and is like £2.50 on the tekheads site.

Also IMO the best 80mm fan would by antec tricool
moves a ton of air
