no flame war please

but what is better, xbox 360 game

or equivelant pc game played at mid settings?

by this i mean graphics wise, fps, little or no lag etc.

(I dont mean a hi tech state of the art pc but instead a poor mans gaming machine, call it a £200-£300 pc)

this is purely for me to see what people think, at the moment i have a rubbish computer and an xbox 360 s so i cant comment or speculate as i barely reach low settings on battlefield 2 :P

so what are your thoughts?

thanks for the link i was reading that other day, but im looking for a more specific opinion, purely graphics based, but not on high.

thats what im wondering...a pc's medium settings as opposed to an xbox 360

(ps. if this has been covered in that thread i may have missed it so apoligies in advance)

depends what spec if your pc but know a days graphics on pc tend to me better then console but ps3 and xbox 360 have been around for nearly 4-5 years think about that on pc you can always regularly upgrades parts but gaming on pc is getting bigger.

That's a very difficult question to answer. As most PC's are different and all the consoles are (theoretically) the same.

When a game is built for consoles it is adapted so that different parts of the game run at different FPS and the graphics level changes throughout to get the max FPS out of the console.

PC games wil all depend on your specification, my PC for example can run a game like BFBC2 on medium settings with no problem and a nice FPS, hell it can even run it on full with a decent FPS (which overall would be better than a console).

At the end of the day I think it comes down to how much you want to spend, and whether you prefer playing on PC or console (I personally prefer PC, so am prepared to pay more to keep it up-to-date).

The quality of the graphics is going to depend mostly on the game. On some games you probably can't tell a difference between the game playing on a high end PC and playing on a console, on others the difference might be quite large.

If you want to see a comparison for particular game, just do a YouTube search for XBox vs PC for that particular game. It seems that for Bad Company 2 the difference is pretty minimal:

Depends on the game too. All first person games on consoles have aim assist, because controllers cannot be as quick and as accurate as a mouse.
