arma 2 and arma 2 operation arrowhead are power-hungry games, OA runs smoother than arma 2 but you still need a big beefy quad and high-end gpu or two to get the most out of it. It is a brilliant game, the most realist fps at the momment too. Also STALKER are great games bit underrated i think.

I have been told a few times that Stalker is similar to Fallout, however other than both being post-nuclear fps games, are they really that similar?

No. Gameplay is so different. The way you move, the way you play. Stalker sucks IMO, Fallout 3 is FTW. I should play it. Once I get bored of BFBC2. Heck, the game is on my comp.

its a lot different, the engine feels different aka it doesnt feel like an oblivion mod its a lot harder and more realistic real weapons, accuracy, bleeding etc. Its also ****ing scary I had to window the game play loud music go on skype to a friend and scream as a ran through a pitch black lab with mutants in. But its damn fun you should try it :) Start with the first STALKER then you play the next one which is prequel to the first and then the third one, its confusing but it wont make any sense otherwise.
 
I just got shadow of chernobyl. I think this may have been a bad idea. Bioshock scared me a hell of a lot, so much so I still haven't finished it, parts of Fallout scared me too so much. I don't scare easily out of games, like I can watch horror films and have no problem, but games freak me out so easily

i can tell you now if you thought bioshock and fallout were scary you are gunna crap yourself in stalker :D
