Graphics card problems

I just got my self a PCI graphics card, it is a GeForce 6200 PCI graphics card with 128mb DDR. I installed it and then tryed to play vidios and games and they wouldnt work, also when doing simple jobs my CPU usage went up from around 5% to 100% and made the comp crash. I have now had to remove the card and go back to my crap 64mb internal.
I was wondering if it usual to find these problems with this card or in general PCI (not PCI-E) graphics cards.

Thank you
Peter

nahh that shouldnt happen. what are your specs and do you have anti-virus? that sounds like a virus or some sort of spyware to me.

check out adaware-se and spybot search and destroy on download.com, give those a run through and get back to us

I shouldnt have any adware because i just got a healthcheck done in PCWorld, thats were i got the card, they do all the scans for you and install what ever you want, they ****ed up the install of the graphics card but i sorted it.
the PC specs are: It is a Emachine 190 but it has been upgraded a bit
2.2GHz intel celeron
80GB hdd (about 80% full) (one 60GB and one 20GB)
768MB of ram
DVD-RW + CD-RW + FDD drive

Ow and by the way im away on holiday untill next wedensday so i probably wont be able to reply, but ill try.
thanks Peter
