Help me with buying a PS3.

Hey Guys. I would really like a PS3. I have a Gamecube and decided to upgrade (although I will keep my Gamecube!). I have saved up 217 dollars, and my mom will loan me 20. So, I have 237ish to work with. (Within a few dollars is fine, I am sure I have money hiding somewhere.)

What I want:
  • A slim PS3 (I would assume for the price a 120gb, but if I can get a 250, even better!)(New or used, but in good condition and fully working if used)(Read edit 3. I would be fine with a fat one, if there isn't really much of a difference)- around 160 is in my budget. (with shipping included.) I know that's tight.
  • At least one more wireless, official Sony Dualshock controller (but if I can get a multipack thats cool to)(new)- 37 dollars
  • Call Of Duty, Modern Warfare 2 (new)- 40 dollars

So far, I haven't found a PS3 cheap. I am looking on eBay, where else can I look?

Also, any general advice about buying them or what games to get or anything like that would help too.

EDIT- What is the difference between all of the different versions of the game?

EDIT2- Would I be better off just waiting until I can buy new from somewhere?

EDIT3- Is there any real advantage/disadvantage of the slim vs. fat?

I remember when i got my PS3 for $800 Aud about $600-$700 Usd the older style one which in my opinion is the best looking. Looking at that you would do a good job finding a PS3 for << $250 Usd. As for the games I firstly bought GTA IV then i bought Fifa 09/10 and soon 11 and that is about it depends what you are into i guess.

I actually bought a 40gb fat for that budget, it's pretty good. I recommend that you either a)buy a fat ps3 because you don't have enough lol
b) save up for a slim and c) just build a gaming computer, it's not hard and if you save up you could build one for like around 500$.
