help please

my computer crashes back to the desktop everytime (with no error message) i try to run both battlefield 2 and left for dead 2, my computer has run both these games before with no problems help would apreciated.

P.S Im kinda new to pc gaming so try and keep it simple
 
I would look in event viewer if you aren't getting any error messages. Right click on "my computer" click on manage, click on event viewer on left hand side. Look under either application or system for any errors.
 
Do you see any entries with red X's on them? You might want to try reinstalling the video driver if it happens when you game.
 
Yes this one had a red x on it it was in applications

Faulting application bf2voicesetup.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module bf2voicesetup.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00008661.
 
the above was when i tried to run battlefield 2 and this is when I tried to run Left 4 dead 2
