Help with COD2 Install

Okay, so i have the CD version of CoD2 (Ugh). 6 CDs.
I pop in CD once, instalation goes normal. It asks for CD 2 so I obey. Then all of a sudden, in the middle of cd 2 install, it says would you like to register. (no). Would you like a short cut? (yes...but WTF im only on CD 2). So then the installer closes. Im think, strange. I go to play it and nothing happens when I click the short cut. So i try uninstalling but there isnt an uninstaller in Add/Remove (I didnt think to put in disk :mad: ). So I deleted the files that were installed. Then I stuck in the disk to install again and it pops up and all it says is "Play Multiplayer, Play Singleplayer, Uninstall...etc" as if it were installed correctly. So theni click uninstall. A small window flashes in center of the screen (less than half a second) and nothing happens.

So... how do I install CoD2 if it already thinks its installed but wont uninstall it?

Any Ideas?
 
Oh, just reinstalled and forgot about ccleaner.
Ccleaner will get rid of the registry issue or whatever right?

Okay, I ran ccleaner and it removed stuff and did its job.
When i ran the CD, I still got the same screen (no option to install, only to play).
 
The splash screen (is that what you call it...the screen that comes up automatically) just goes away.

I tried that undelete thing. Im not sure how it works but i pressed start, it scanned and cae up with a list of files but CoD wasnt on that list.
 
No, i finally got a hold of activision.

They had me remove some things through regedit.

You guys were really close, i may not have been describing the problem well enough.
