Holding hard drives in place

Are there bungee cords, or computer ties I can use to keep the hard drives in there slots so they don't slide back while in shipment? I won't use screws the screw holes since that would poke into the drive and damage it ! :p

Hi,

It's not feasible to mount them as they normally are? I'm assuming you're referring to shipping a complete system, correct?

Should they be free?

If you're going to be shipping the system I would absolutely fasten them in the case using the supplied screws into the threaded holes on the body of the hard drive otherwise you risk damaging the drives. Once the system is delivered and set up then go wild with the bungee things if you want :)

If you don't like the ideas of screws and so forth you may consider shipping the drives separately. A few layers of bubble wrap and then into a box of foam peanuts would do the trick.
