How do I get rid of this menu bar at the top of YouTube?

This seems to be a new thing that sometimes (but not always) happens on YouTube with Chrome. A white menu bar appears at the top which won't go away, cutting off the actual top part of the website, like the search bar, or taking up space when a video is played fullscreen, as in the attached screenshot. Anyone know how to get rid of this?

Disable all chrome addons temporarily and see if it goes away. If you hover over some of those icons, it should tell you exactly what it is.

I'll try, but the bar contains icons from many different sources, like WhatsApp and Facebook. There is no one extension that would create this bar and put them all together, as far as I know.
