How do people feel about steam.

I like Steam too. I never had problems with it and i also like checking the new updates they have for their games.

Sadly I never been hacked though....

Very sad to hear that :P.

I love steam. I wouldn't know about half the games I have if it weren't for steam, I think it is just the best ever. Deals like 75% are hard to get from the store, add to the fact that steam games are (usually) naturally cheaper in the first place, that is a lot of saving.

yall should try gametap. i dont have it now, but when i did it was pretty good.for around $10month you get unlimited play to hundreds of classic and new games.i personaly never had nor used steam but was looking into it to see what they offer.

I hate steam being in Australia our download speeds are terrible and i am on a wireless usb which is prepaid for 5 gb which is very expensive. All steam wants to do when i am playing a game is update the client and rubbish like that what a joke!

really, whats the price for DSL/fiber optics? i go though brighthouse and i pay around $50 a month for 45mb/s DL and 25mb/s UL.

At first I hated it. It seemed like - with any game I bought (in an offline shop) - I had to use this weird clunky 'Steam' program thing to play it. I was like one of those grouchy people on the Amazon reviews who didn't know what Steam was, and resented being forced to use and rely on it. ;)

But since then I've used it more and more and I really like it; it's a good idea. Their prices can be great and having games 'locked' to your account means that you can easily download your games on a new PC without having to dig out loads of game boxes. Brilliant stuff.

My only gripe with it is that it's still fairly clunky and feels very slow to use (I get better performance out of Photoshop CS5!) But other than that, I'm a fan of Steam.

I love Steam. Recently invested in a good gaming desktop PC and I've been buying more and more games through Steam. Love the deals they have sometimes, and its so convenient to just download the game and play it. Also, the online community with online Steam games is great.
